Joey Swanson

• 20th year as summer coach
• 5th year as Saint Martin's University Assistant Coach, Hitting/Catching Coach
• Owner and Director of Northwest Reign Baseball Club and former Director of PC Diamond Jaxx (2008-2015) and NW Timberjacks coach and trainer (2001-2008)
• North Thurston HS/Lane CC & Skagit Valley CC
• Over 25+ years of playing, coaching, umpiring  and instructing experience
• Current E|L1 Catching and Hitting Instructor
• Current Showcase Team head coach
• Catching and hitting coordinator
• Instructor with Catchers Central (Powered by E|L1)

 Roster is made up of returners players as well as players from tryouts. This team plays majority of games on college fields as well as regional tournaments. Tournaments in 2022 will include Univ of Washington Team Camp, Linfield College Showcase, Univ of Portland Showcase, GSL College Showcase and more!!

Joey Swanson enters his fifth season as a head coach of Northwest Reign (20th year as summer coach) and is also the Northwest Reign program director, catching coordinator and hitting coordinator.

 Team is geared towards identifying talented high school lower classmen who can eventually move up to showcase team and or fill in for national tournament team.

TEAM WILL PLAY LOCAL AND REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS AS WELL AS 18U ELITE LEAGUE PLAY.

Roster will be made up of returning players from year before and will play in local and regional tournaments.  This team is a first year team with a core of players to build around.  Team also helps identify players eligible for SHOWCASE team and national teams in the future.

IN NEED OF TWO MORE PLAYERS!  TEAM WILL TRAVEL TO ONE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT.

Team has been involved within Reign for five years.  Returning team from years past coached by Nate Smith, Bailey Smith and Pat Barnes.  Roster will be in need of a few more players.

FIRST YEAR TEAMS COACHED BY A COLLEGE COACHES AND FORMER ALUMNI.  TEAMS WILL PLAY LOCALLY AND REGIONALLY.

We will add a 12U AND 13/14u team that will play in league play and local tournaments.  

13/14U Team will be coached by Jeremy Passmore who has coached at the junior college level for past couple years and is a longtime youth coach in the Puget Sound.

12U team will be coached by former Reign alumni whom have all played for Coach Swanson at some point in time in their Reign baseball career.

SECOND YEAR TEAM

John Mattson will look to add to a core of players form last years 11u team that a was a mix of players who played 12u.  They will have the option to play year round and are "little league friendly" meaning players can choose to play for both NW Reign and little league with their friends.
